Penske Australia Supercars drivers want Acura DPi chance
Scott McLaughlin and Fabian Coulthard want their boss, Roger Penske, to know they'd welcome an invite to drive Acura ARX-05 prototypes at Daytona in January.
The pair, who hold first and third in the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship standings for the DJR Penske team, join a long list of Penske drivers from its IndyCar and NASCAR operations who are expected to make similar requests to race one of the Daytona Prototype internationals at the Rolex 24.

."It was a pretty cool announcement. Penske has been fantastic in IndyCar and the American Le Mans Series, and now it has this program. Hopefully we get the call up. The Daytona 24 Hours would be a great event to go and do."
Penske, Acura confirm DPi program

"Endurance racing in general is something I have looked at in the past but for me I have got a lot of local goals I want to fulfil first," the New Zealander said.
"One of those is the Supercars championship and another is the Bathurst 1000. I am going to focus on what I am doing here, but in the future, I wouldn't mind doing something."
