Rain postpones Daytona Xfinity race to Saturday
The NASCAR Xfinity Series Coca-Cola Firecracker250 has been postponed until Saturday because of rain. The broadcast will begin at noon ET on CNBC.
Rain began to fall seven laps into Friday's race. NASCAR threw the red flag on lap 11, and the race was postponed after a 90-minute delay.
NASCAR executive vice president and chief racing development officer Steve O'Donnell responded on Twitter to fans who complained that it appeared NASCAR was not making an attempt to dry the track and continue racing under the lights.
