Mahindra team to debut Formula E Season 4 car at Goodwood
Mahindra will be the first Formula E team to run its Season 4 car in public, when Nick Heidfeld drives up the hill at Goodwood during the Festival of Speed this weekend.
The M4Electro has been put through its paces in private testing, but this will be the first time that it has been on track in public.
Heidfeld, who holds the outright speed record for the Goodwood FoS hill climb course, which he set in a McLaren F1 car back in 1999, will now get the chance to add the fastest electric ascent to his record.
"We're excited to bring Nick and the M4Electro to Goodwood in a bid to set the fastest open-wheel electric record on the hillclimb," Mahindra team principal Dilbagh Gill said. "We are always looking to push the boundaries as a team and we couldn't think of a better way to introduce the season four challenger to fans and automotive enthusiasts alike than at the Goodwood Festival of Speed."
