RACER.com’s 24 Hours of Le Mans coverage delivers significant growth in audience

The audience for RACER.com's extensive coverage of the 85th Running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans grew dramatically in comparison to 2016, with a 28% increase in unique visitors and an 18% growth in sessions according to the site's Google Analytics report. User sessions from the United States delivered a 16% growth, followed by 29% improvement is sessions from the United Kingdom. Visits to RACER.com by mobile phone users increased by 33% over 2016.

The RACER.com sportscar team of Stephen Kilbey, Marshall Pruett and David Phillips produced a constant steam of features, analysis and reporting spanning 11 days. During that period, RACER.com experienced an 8% growth in unique visitors compared to 2016 for the corresponding period. During this period, Alexa.com continued to rank RACER.com as the leading racing media site in the USA by a clear margin.

RACER's social media activity was equally robust: a Facebook reach of 1,321,309 and 641,758 people engaged between May 23 and June 19. During the past 28 days, @RACERmag on Twitter has generating 2.26 million impressions, representing an increase of almost 12%.
