LM24 Hour 20: Jackie Chan DC edging clear in LMP2

With four hours remaining the No. 1 Porsche 919 Hybrid is continuing its metroromic run to the finish, Andre Lotterer, with a 13-lap lead. The No. 2 Porsche continues its fight back, with Brendon Hartley now up to sixth overall, and two laps off taking second place.

The No. 8 Toyota is also still making its way up the order, in 12th, closing in on a top 10 finish despite its hybrid system change.

The Jackie Chan DC Racing No. 38 ORECA's lead in LMP2 is also comfortable now, after further drama for the Vaillante Rebellion crew. The No. 13 – running second – was forced to take an extended stop for a brake duct replacement, as well as a solution to its starter problem.

The issue cost the team four minutes, and a space on the lead lap in the class. Oliver Jarvis, Thomas Laurent and Ho Pin Tung are now edging closer to victory. All the while, the No. 35 Signatech Alpine continues to edge closer to taking second from the troubled Rebellion ahead.

GTE Pro is still a stalemate, the top three on the lead lap, and the No. 63 Corvette Racing C7.R of Antonio Garcia leading at the turn of the hour this time, with Darren Turner second in the No. 97 Aston Martin, in front of the No. 91 Porsche.

It's the same story in Am. The JMW Motorsport Ferrari is still holding a lead of over a lap over the No. 55 Spirit of Race and No. 62 Scuderia Corsa Ferraris.

Despite the first half of the race being incident-filled, the Sunday morning running has thrown up few major incidents; the retirements list still just eight-cars-strong.
