Larson fastest again in final Dover Cup practice

Kyle Larson continued his impressive Dover weekend Saturday by being the fastest driver in final Cup Series practice for the AAA 400.

Larson laid down a lap of 157.411 mph to top the leaderboard over 10-time Dover winner Jimmie Johnson. Johnson's lap was 157.301 mph.

Larson was also fastest in Friday's opening practice session and he won the pole for Saturday's Xfinity Series race. Last year, Larson finished second in the spring Dover race.

The rest of the top five were Kyle Busch at 157.246 mph, Martin Truex Jr. at 157.143 mph and defending race winner Matt Kenseth at 157.143 mph.

Spots six through 10 featured Kevin Harvick (157.143 mph), Kurt Busch (157.143 mph), Daniel Suarez (157.116 mph), Jamie McMurray (156.781 mph) and Chase Elliott (156.753 mph).

There were no incidents in the 50-minute session.

Kyle Busch was fastest in Saturday's morning session over Ryan Blaney, Martin Truex Jr., Jimmie Johnson and Kurt Busch.

Rookie Erik Jones, who was seventh fastest, spun in Turn 2 during the session but did not hit anything.

The AAA is Sunday at 1 p.m. on Fox Sports 1.
