GEICO on board as Bourdais' primary 500 sponsor

GEICO will serve as the primary sponsor on Sebastien Bourdais' No.18 Dale Coyne Racing Honda for the 101st running of the Indianapolis 500.

GEICO has been involved in IndyCar as a sponsor for 12 years and visited the winner's circle at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on board Tony Kanaan's KV Racing entry in 2013. In their four-year partnership with Bourdais, GEICO has been to Victory Lane on five occasions, most recently at the 2017 season-opening Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg in March.

Bourdais, whose career includes 36 wins and 33 poles, was quickest on Fast Friday and picked up the Harding Group Fastest Lap of the Day Award for his lap of 233.116mph, which was also the fastest lap recorded so far this month.

"This is the fourth season that I've had the privilege of having GEICO on my car, and I couldn't be more pleased to have them step up as a primary partner for the biggest race of the season," Bourdais said. "We've had some great performances already this season with the Dale Coyne Racing team and I'm looking forward to seeing what we can do next Sunday with the GEICO Honda."
