DeJoria to miss NHRA Four-Wide Nationals

Alexis DeJoria has withdrawn from this weekend's eighth annual NHRA Four-Wide Nationals at Charlotte, citing a family matter.

Funny Car driver and Kalitta Motorsports director of safety Chad Head has been named as her replacement in the Tequila Patrón Toyota Camry.

DeJoria – who was last year's 4-Wide Nationals No.1 qualifier – is currently 11th in Funny Car points, three points away from the 10th-place Countdown to The Championship cutoff. She has two round wins so far this season.
