Video: Delomier escapes violent LMP3 crash with minor injuries

Yvan Muller Racing driver Gwenael Delomier became an unwilling passenger at Monza’s ELMS Prologue test after his Norma M30 LMP3 turned hard right on entry to the Ascari corner, hit the barrier, then flipped and skidded on its roof before returning to an upright position.

“I’m fine,” the Frenchman wrote on his Facebook page. “After a lot of checks I just [have] a vertebra [that is] broken.”

While the Yvan Muller Racing Norma can be repaired in time for the ELMS season opener at Silverstone on April 16, it’s unclear whether Delomier’s injury will prevent the V de V sports car champion from taking part in the event.
