Barrett announces Trans Am plans
Movie stunt driver and racer Stanton Barrett has announced he will compete in this year's Trans Am Series with Tony Ave Motorsports. The veteran, who is served as stunt-coordinator dor the upcoming movie "LOGAN" in which he was the driving double for Hugh Jackman, plans to run a full schedule this season.
Barrett will drive the No. 33 Chevrolet. The number holds a significance to the avid racer as it was the same Trans Am number driven by his godfather Paul Newman.
"I'm excited to get back to my roots of road course racing and running the number of Paul who has been a huge influence in my racing and in my life," said Barrett. "The Trans Am Series is a good series where I can go out there have fun and compete in an extremely competitive series with a substantial racing history. My schedule is full right now, but Tony (Ave) and his team have really opened the door to allow me to focus on my new role at Ojai Energetics, while using a sport to reach a mass fan base with a positive product and message for everyday healthy living."
"Right now, I have seven Trans Am races on my schedule. We believe that Trans Am series is a tremendous platform to utilize for educating and marketing a technical, by nature and science driven brand such as ours at Ojai Energetics."
Ave, a former NASCAR competitor himself says he's looking forward to working with Barrett.
"I am very pleased and excited we were able to sign a driver of Stanton's ability and experience," Ave said. "His background across several disciplines of driving will benefit the team as we not only work together on winning Trans Am races, but also further develop our equipment together to stay on the leading edge of what has become an incredibly competitive series."
Ojai Energetics is "linking ancient roots, with modern technology to provide quality and affordable alternative health products for optimal physical and spiritual well-being."
As Ojai Energetics president, NASCAR driver, businessman, Hollywood director and longtime stuntman, Barrett has witnessed the positive effects of CBD hemp oil for athletes and consumer alike. Barrett's career spans over two decades of highly physical work both in television and film, as well as a career as a professional race car driver in the most elite forms of auto racing.
"My body has endured some serious injuries, long-term side effects, along with significant aches and pains," Barrett said. "I am a firm believer in its effectiveness and have witnessed firsthand its ability to provide support for post sport recovery, quality of life, overall well-being."
"I can't stress enough how valuable this phytonutrient is for athletes like myself who suffer the consequences of an active lifestyle and career. We need to break down the stigma associated with this natural plant and its cannabinoids that effectively work with our body's own endocannabinoid system. We have a big task to explain our CBD is federally legal, has no phsyco active effects and its benefits results in a healthy and better quality of life. "
Founder and CEO Will Kleidon set out to form a value driven company that could provide the purest, healthiest and most ethically produced CBD product on the market.
"Our mission is to provide consumers with a safe, pure and quality CBD product that holistically addresses body systems and offers nutritional benefits for everyday use," Kleidon said. "Our intellectual property portfolio continues to expand as we innovate and offer consumers the most effective way to nourish a widespread nutrient deficiency with their endocannabinoid systems, and also a nutritional supplement for daily health and wellness."
In addition to Trans Am competition, Barrett plans to compete in a limited NASCAR schedule this year with a concentration on all Xfinity road course races. Further details of his stock car program will be announced at a later date.
