59th annual Daytona 500 entry list released

The entry list for the 59th running of the Daytona 500 was released by NASCAR on Thursday. Forty-two entries will compete for 40 spots, with 36 guaranteed through charters. Elliott Sadler, Reed Sorenson, Corey LaJoie, Brendan Gaughan, Timmy Hill and DJ Kennington are the six drivers competing for the remaining four spots.

LaJoie and Kennington (if they qualify), Daniel Suarez, Joey Gase, Jeffrey Earnhardt and Erik Jones will be competing in their first Daytona 500.

Last week, NASCAR

revealed the stage lengths

for all the events during Daytona Speedweeks, but Thursday the

entirety for this year's schedule was released
