TRUCKS: JR Motorsports not fielding 2017 entry

JR Motorsports confirmed it will not field an entry in the Camping World Truck Series in 2017, instead focusing on its five-car Xfinity Series effort.

JRM entered the series in 2015, fielding the No. 00 Chevy primarily driven by Cole Custer, who brought home one win at Gateway Motorsports Park in 2015; Kasey Kahne's win at Charlotte was the organization's only other Trucks series victory. Custer, who will turn 19 prior to the start of the season,

was tapped by Stewart-Haas Racing

to drive its debut entry in the Xfinity Series in 2017.

JRM's 2017 Xfinity lineup includes Elliott Sadler, Justin Allgaier, Michael Annett and William Byron in full-time rides.
