GALLERY: Best of Le Mans 2016

Toyota was in line to score the biggest upset at Le Mans since rival brand Mazda became the first Japanese manufacturer to win the great 24 Hour race in 1991 – until an even bigger upset occurred in the final minutes. 

Fifty years after finishing 1-2-3, Ford makes a triumphant return with a decisive win in the GTE class. 

Scuderia Corsa won the GTE Am division by lapping all but one of its rivals.

Signatech Alpine wrested control of the race deep into Sunday morning for the LMP2 win.
