LE MANS: McQueen's 'Le Mans' reimagined in graphic novel

After three years of work, Swiss artist Sandro Garbo and his team have unveiled "Steve McQueen in Le Mans," a graphic novel that pays tribute to McQueen, McQueen's 1971"Le Mans" passion project and the battle between the Porsche 917 and Ferrari 512 captured in the film.

Garbo, an enthusiast of classic Porsches and painting cars, saw the novel as "his new mission in life," according to his website, which explains, "this book would be a tribute to Steve McQueen and a legacy for all lovers of car racing and fans of the legendary Porsche 917, Ferrari 512, and of course many other beauties."
