FE moves New York date; WEC clash remains

Formula E has swapped its season-ending races in North America and will now conclude its 2016/17 campaign in Montreal.

The electric single-seater series was due to finish its third season in New York with a double-header on July 29-30.

Instead, that event – the Brooklyn circuit for which was revealed earlier this month – will swap with Montreal's original date on July 15-16.

Autosport understands the change came at the request of the organizers in the US.

It means the New York race, described as a "dream" by series CEO Alejandro Agag, will now clash with the World Endurance Championship's Nurburgring round, which has been confirmed on July 16.

The likes of 2015/16 FE champion Sebastien Buemi and runner-up Lucas di Grassi compete in both categories.

FE's final 2016/17 calendar also omits the two "TBA" rounds announced in July.

It means the series will remain at 10 events for a third consecutive season.

FINAL 2016/17 FE CALENDAR

Hong Kong October 9
Marrakech November 12
Buenos Aires February 18
Mexico City April 1
Monaco May 13
Paris May 20
Berlin June 10
Brussels July 1
New York July 15/16
