MOTOGP: Lorenzo now more annoyed over Rossi's move

Jorge Lorenzo says he feels more strongly about Yamaha MotoGP teammate Valentino Rossi's Misano overtaking move, having now watched the footage.

Rossi passed Lorenzo for the lead on the second lap of the San Marino Grand Prix, and the Spaniard felt the move was unnecessarily aggressive.

It prompted a

tense exchange between the pair in the post-race press conference

, their relationship having been otherwise civil in their last season as teammates before Lorenzo leaves for Ducati.

When asked at Aragon on Thursday if he has changed his opinion on Rossi's move based on watching the footage, Lorenzo replied: "No.

"Actually I feel stronger [about my opinion]. On the bike I couldn't see his line, and on the replay I could see his line.

"I still have that opinion."

BOTH RIDERS WANT SECOND

With Honda's Marc Marquez 43 points clear of Rossi and 61 ahead of Lorenzo with five grands prix to go, both Yamaha riders are likely resigned to a battle for second in the championship.

Including 2010 when Rossi missed three races due to injury, the end-of-year points ledger between the pair is three-all.

Asked if they had a preference between taking race wins and finishing second in the championship, Rossi initially replied that he simply wanted both.

"Second place is a lot less important than winning the championship," he said. "They are more or less on the same level, because winning races is great. But we can try to do both."

Lorenzo has three 2016 race wins to Rossi's two and agreed with his teammate's outlook.

"Win as many races as possible and try to finish second," he said.

"As I always say, second is better than third, third is better than fourth, so we will try to finish second."
