INDY LIGHTS: Rayhall to run for Team Pelfrey in Monterey
Team Pelfrey has signed Sean Rayhall for the Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tire season finale at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. The move reunites Rayhall with many members of his former 8Star Motorsports team, which was acquired by Pelfrey in the offseason.
"I am extremely excited to return to Indy Lights this time with Team Pelfrey IL even though it's the same group of guys." Rayhall said. "It's been a busy year for me and I am blessed to add this [Indy] Lights weekend to the schedule. Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca has always been a great place for me as a driver and I hope to deliver a good result for Dale [Pelfrey] and the rest of the team."

Rayhall is in his third season racing sportscars; in 2014 he had two PC wins as a 19-year-old (VIR and Circuit of The Americas) in the Tudor United SportsCar Championship and finished on the podium in five of the 10 races he ran.In his 2015 rookie season in Indy Lights, Rayhall earned two wins – including one at the second race of the Grand Prix of Indianapolis doubleheader – and podium finishes at the first GP of Indy and at Monterey.
"We are excited to work with Sean again as we have had two seasons together at 8Star Motorsports and with the help of our engineer, Yves Touron we achieved several wins and many podium finishes," team manager Gary Neal said. "It will be very beneficial having two cars and being able to compare notes from both drivers and to find good setup for the final two races."
