GT: Nissan shuffles Blancpain driver line-up

A question mark over the fitness of injured Super GT driver Matsumasa Chiyo has forced Nissan to reshuffle its driver line-up for the next round of the Blancpain GT Series.
Spaniard Lucas Ordonez will race the lead RJN Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 at the Hungaroring BGTS Sprint Cup round on August 27/28 alongside Alex Buncombe because regular driver Mitsunori Takaboshi has been drafted into the line-up of Chiyo's MOLA team for the Suzuka 1000Km Super GT event on the same weekend.
The switch around has been caused by back injuries sustained by Chiyo in the Fuji round of the Super GT series, in which he drives the MOLA Nissan GT-R GT500 contender with Satoshi Motoyama, at the start of this month.
The 23-year-old Takaboshi will be on hand either as a replacement or an additional driver for the endurance round of the Super GT series, depending on the results of a fitness test for the injured driver ahead of the race.
Spaniard Ordonez, the inaugural winner of Nissan's gamer-to-racer scheme, moves across from the RJN Nissan line-up in the BGTS Endurance Cup, in which he drives with Takaboshi and Buncombe.
Reigning Blancpain Endurance Series champion Chiyo sustained his injuries in a 180mph accident caused by brake failure at Fuji's first corner. The injury will force him to miss this weekend's round of his parallel program in the Japanese Formula 3 Championship.
