IMSA: Black Swan Racing to suspend activities

IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship team owner Tim Pappas has chosen to pause his GT Daytona program in the wake of his father's death on Monday.

"We lost an amazing person on Monday," Pappas said. "Unfortunately, losing my dad happened suddenly, without any warning. I am devastated as he's been an amazing father, grandfather, mentor and my best friend. All of my attention is now focused on my family. Until after we celebrate my father's life, I cannot begin to think about anything else."

Prior to the unfortunate circumstances that led to BSR's withdrawal, Pappas was slated to share the No. 540 Porsche 911 GT3 R with Germany's Sven Muller during this weekend's Continental Road Race Showcase at Road America.
