INDYCAR: Coyne hints at more driver roulette

Conor Daly has given Dale Coyne one podium and some very good runs this season. The second Coyne car figures to have two, and maybe three, different drivers during the final five races of 2016 – possibly including another rookie.

It's expected R.C. Enerson will make his IndyCar debut on July 31 at Mid-Ohio, where he won the Indy Lights race last year. As reported by RACER's Marshall Pruett

earlier this month

, the 19-year-old Floridian stopped running Indy Lights in June to concentrate on budgeting money for an IndyCar.

Asked if Enerson will be driving at Mid-Ohio, Watkins Glen and Sonoma, Coyne replied: "It's possible. Stay tuned."

Coyne said Gabby Chaves, who made six starts for Coyne since last May, will run the No. 19 at Texas.

"Gabby for sure at Texas but maybe Pippa [Mann] at Pocono, not sure yet," Coyne continued.

Mann started 25th and finished 18th for Coyne in the Indianapolis 500.

Daly will start a career-best seventh. Luca Filippi, who ran the first four road races of the year for Coyne, made an impressive return by qualifying 11th here this weekend but only had sponsorship for the Toronto race.
