INDYCAR: Bourdais fastest in final practice
Sebastien Bourdais led the final 30-minute practice period for Sunday's Honda Indy Toronto, but a couple of Honda's big weapons made big strides.
A two-time winner of this event who starts fifth, Bourdais turned a lap of 1m1.2130s in his Hydroxycut Chevrolet.
Ryan Hunter-Reay, who qualified way back in 18th on Saturday, changed setups and found some speed in his DHL Honda with a lap of 1m1.2616s and Graham Rahal, starting 16th in his RLL Honda, posted a 1m01.2763.
Josef Newgarden, second in points standings and driving with a broken right clavicle and hand, was fourth fastest at 1:01.2966 in the Ed Carpenter Racing Chevy.
Conor Daly, set to start a career-best seventh, caught the outside wall near the end of practice and damaged the right-front suspension on his Dale Coyne Honda.
Today's race starts at 3:30 p.m. ET on CNBC.
