KVSH Racing’s Sebastien Bourdais was the fastest driver during IndyCar’s rain-delayed morning warm-up at Road America – which was made rather easy after the Frenchman was the only driver to venture out and post a full lap. Rahal Letterman Lanigan’s Graham Rahal joined his former teammate, but pitted at the end of the lap.
The 8 a.m. session was pushed back to 8:20 a.m. after heavy rain made it impossible for the medical helicopter to land. Once the 20-minute session got under way, Bourdais posted a 2:11.3498, which was well off of the 1:43.3291 he recorded in Saturday’s dry qualifying session.
The current forecast calls for the weather to clear to partly cloudy by race time at 1 p.m. ET, with temperatures in the mid 80s.
