FE: Summer 2016 test plan revealed

Formula E's official 2016-'17 pre-season tests will take place over two weeks at Donington Park in August and September. The first three-day test will be held from Aug. 23-25. The second test will be held two weeks later and run from Sept. 5-7.
Last year testing comprised three blocks of two-day running and took place slightly earlier in August. The later start comes after the original plan to hold the first test in July was aborted following a request from teams for more time to prepare their new powertrains.
INSIGHT: Formula E's problematic calendar
The change in format is so they have more time to prepare cars between sessions and do not have to bring staff members to Donington for an additional week.
It has not been confirmed that spectators will continue to be allowed free access to the test, but this is expected to remain the case.
FE's 2016-'17 season kicks off in Hong Kong on Oct. 9.
