LM24: Stevens swaps Manor for G-Drive

Ex-Formula 1 driver Will Stevens has swapped from the Manor to G-Drive LMP2 teams for this month's Le Mans 24 Hours.

He will take the place of Nathanael Berthon, who has parted company with G-Drive, alongside Rene Rast and Roman Rusinov in the G-Drive Racing ORECA-Nissan 05 for the World Endurance Championship double-points round on June 18/19.

The 24-year-old Briton has vacated his seat in the solo Manor entry for Le Mans alongside alongside Matt Rao and Tor Graves.

Stevens, who is racing with Rast at the wheel of a WRT Audi in the Blancpain GT Series, said: "The offer to join G-Drive specifically for Le Mans and share the car with Rene and Roman was compelling. My partnership with Rene at WRT Audi is working well, and with his and Roman's experience in this race, it offered me a race-winning opportunity, which I'm pleased to accept."

Stevens, who will return to Manor for the remainder of the WEC season, also thanked the team for releasing him for Le Mans.

Manor has yet to announce a replacement for Stevens in its ORECA coupe.
