F1: Pirelli announces Hungarian GP tire plans

Pirelli has selected the super-soft, soft and medium Formula 1 compounds for the Hungarian Grand Prix.

The Hungaroring event in July is the sixth time in 11 grands prix this season the Italian manufacturer has chosen that combination.

The soft and medium are the tires Pirelli has designated must be used at some point in the race.

Each driver must have both these sets available, and must use at least one of them during the 69-lap grand prix.

The super-soft rubber is the one that has been assigned for the final part of qualifying.
