Next Level European Pre-Mazda Raceway Report
The very technical Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca circuit is expected to suit the Next Level European (NLE) Porsche Cayman team well this weekend for the IMSA Continental Tire Series' two hour and thirty minute Continental Challenge race, Round Three of 2016. Competing for their second year, the European car specialists based in Dublin, Virginia, will field two cars, the No. 83 Red Line Oil and No. 38 Porsche Cayman entries.
Drivers for the No. 83 car include Greg Liefooghe and Ari Balough, both who consider the circuit his home track, and the No. 38 pair of Seth Thomas, of Cumming, Georgia and Dan Rogers, who also adds Laguna to his home track list.
The NLE team has been doing extensive testing and meticulous preparation on the mid-engine Porsches since Sebring with the goal of success on the 2.24-mile, 11-turn historic road course. Although the Street Tuner (ST) class provides plenty of door-to-door racing, the Next Level European team are ready for the challenge as they seek their first ST Championship and 2016 victory.
