INDUSTRY: Nissan's ex-LMP1 boss takes global role

Former Nissan LMP1 programme director Mike Carcamo has been confirmed as the Japanese manufacturer's global motorsport boss.
Carcamo, who oversaw the GTR LM NISMO program from late summer until its cancellation in December, has been acting as Nissan's motorsport boss following the departure of Darren Cox at the end of October.
The confirmation comes with the announcement of a restructuring of Nissan's NISMO motorsport department following the retirement last week of president Shoichi Miyatani after five years at the helm. He had been replaced by Takao Katagiri, who has more than 30 years of experience with Nissan.
Carcamo also has the title of program director at NISMO.
