MOTOGP: Deal extended with Argentina

MotoGP will hold its Argentinian Grand Prix at the Termas de Rio Hondo circuit for the next three years.

Sunday's race was the championship's third at the venue in the north of the nation, which joined the calendar in 2014. It will remain a fixture until at least 2019, after a new agreement was met between Dorna and the local government.

"We are very pleased to reach this agreement with Termas de Rio Hondo and all the parties involved," Dorna Sports CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta said. "It has been a good project so far with everyone involved helping to create a great circuit, and atmosphere for racing.

"South America has a very big passion for motorsport and we're proud to continue bringing MotoGP to Argentina for three more years."
