Ford Performance Post-Qualifying Report
No. 67 Ford GT (Richard Westbrook)
Ford Chip Ganassi Racing
RICHARD WESTBROOK: “It was typical Sebring qualifying, where you’ve just got no idea how the track is going to be. It seems to suit our car pretty well. We’re about where we’ve been all week, middle of the pack. I’m pretty confident. The car feels really well balanced. We worked hard on that and tried not to react to the changing conditions of this track too much. We’re going into the 12 Hours pretty confident. We have a good race car, the best teammates and a great team behind us.”
No. 66 Ford GT (Dirk Müller)
Ford Chip Ganassi Racing
DIRK MÜLLER: “It’s always a pleasure to qualify a new car, especially the Ford GT. This was my first qualifying session for the team and I was really feeling well. We did not focus on qualifying position as much as we normally would because it’s such a long race. We have a 12-hour race ahead. We wanted to take care of the tires, so I just did one lap. That was our plan, so everything went how we had planned it. The gap between the cars is so tight, it only takes tenths (of a second) to move up. Our thoughts are on the race and we’re really looking forward to tomorrow.”
