CRG-I Do Borrow Pre-Sebring Report
Coming off a solid Top-10 finish at Daytona, the #44 I Do Borrow/A&C Properties Honda Civic Si of Sarah Cattaneo and Owen Trinkler is poised for another strong run this week at Sebring International Raceway for Round-2 of the 2016 Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge Series. They currently stand sixth place in points in both the Street Tuner class Driver and Team standings entering this event.
Cattaneo knows the team has what it takes to repeat similar results from Round-1 at Daytona, “After coming off such a great finish for us at Daytona, I couldn't be more excited for Sebring. We have a great car, and the guys have worked tirelessly since Daytona to make sure we have the best race car possible. We've shown speed here the past couple years, and we expect nothing less this year. This is a great track for us and we hope to keep the momentum from Daytona going.”
The CRG team had a strong run yesterday during the series’ promoter test, and that’s generated even more enthusiasm going into the official practice and qualifying sessions in preparation for the race. Owen echoed Sarah’s sentiments; “We’re a small team, but a strong one. Last year we had a very good season overall, but got off to a slow start results wise. We bounced back, but knew that if we had started stronger, we could have been in better contention to win the title. After a strong start at Daytona, we’re looking to finish toward the front of the grid again this week and get into the hunt much sooner than in the past. This team has proven it can overcome any obstacle, but this year, we’re hoping there are fewer of them!”
