MOTOGP: Michelin reveals tire color codes

Michelin has outlined the color codes it will use to identify its tires in MotoGP this year.
It retains the Bridgestone approach of not marking the sidewalls of the medium-compound dry tires, and giving its soft tires a white mark, while yellow is used for the hard compound.
Michelin's intermediate tire, one of its MotoGP innovations, will have gray markings. The hard rain tire will be unmarked, with the soft denoted with blue.
The French manufacturer has resolved to revise its soft-compound front from its dry range, following further rider feedback gathered during last week's Qatar test.
"We have finalized our choice of front and rear tires," motorsport director Nicolas Goubert said. "The riders are happy with the performance of the rears after we provided them with two specifications which have now been approved for the first race.
"The track conditions evolved considerably over the three days in Qatar and we occasionally noted too much wear on the soft-compound version of the front tire. We will consequently need to adjust its specification a little in order to make it stronger.
"We didn't have any issues whatsoever with the hard version, though, and the tire that will be available to the riders in less than two weeks' time will be identical."
