F1: Fuel system trouble halts Haas
A fuel system problem has forced Haas to end its running early on day one of the second pre-season Formula 1 test.
Esteban Gutierrez spent most of the morning session in the garage, completing just 23 laps. During the lunch break, the Mexican said the problem was "not very straightforward" but hoped to be back out in the afternoon But with 90 minutes until the checkered flag, Haas revealed it would not be heading back out on track.
"Fuel system issue ends the day early for @EstebanGtz. Back out on @Circuitcat_eng tomorrow," tweeted the team.
Haas had a solid debut test last week as it clocked up 281 laps, more than McLaren and Manor managed. However, team principal Gunther Steiner admitted last Thursday that Haas had a long list of problems to fix.
