Sales Assistant for Orange County (Calif.) Media Company

Racer Media & Marketing, Inc. publishes RACER and SportsCar magazines and produces the motorsports web site RACER.com. The company also provides branded content and marketing services for the motor sports industry.

DESCRIPTION
This is an entry level position for an extremely motivated self-starter with an interest in media sales and marketing. The ideal candidate will be creative and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will support our team in executing sales strategies, building relationships, prospecting for customers and trafficking ad materials.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Answer phones and perform administrative duties as needed.
• Ship and receive packages.
• Stock and order shipping supplies.
• Renew existing advertisers.
• Call or email advertisers about special offers.
• Research and report on competitors.
• Manage ad paperwork and traffic materials.
• Enter orders in database.
• Assist with billing.

REQUIREMENTS
• Automotive/motorsport background is helpful, but not required.
• Interest in working with traditional print and Internet ad sales.
• Sales experience is helpful, but not required.
• Great phone skills.
• Results driven and a strong desire to succeed
• Highly organized with the ability to multi-task.
• Exemplary written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of Salesforce and DocuSign a plus, but not required
