MOTOGP: Miller ruled out of first test
Jack Miller will miss the first pre-season MotoGP test in Malaysia next week as he continues to recover from injuries he picked up during a training accident. Teammate Tito Rabat will undertake the squad's testing program solo.
The Marc VDS rider fractured the tibia and fibula in his right leg after crashing in a motocross training session earlier this month. Despite undergoing successful surgery, he will miss the three-day test at the Sepang circuit that starts on Monday.
Marc VDS anticipates Miller will return for the second test at Phillip Island three weeks later, the Australian having already resumed physical training.
"It's unfortunate that Jack is unable to test in Sepang but we are hopeful that he will have recovered sufficiently to join us at Phillip Island for the second of the three pre-season tests," said team principal Michael Bartholemy.
