VIDEO: How the '66 Le Mans-winning GT40 stacked up against its rivals

Only weeks before the GT40's highly anticipated return to the 24 Hours of Daytona, the racecar's rich endurance racing history is recaptured in a brand new video released today by RK Motors Charlotte, which purchased the iconic '66 Le Mans-winning GT40 and commissioned a comprehensive restoration by Kingston, NH-based RareDrive, Inc.

"Legend of Le Mans: Titan of Technology" invites automotive enthusiasts to join RK Motors Charlotte as it revives an icon, unearths the past and restores glory to the 1966 Le Mans-winning Ford GT40 - chassis #P1046.

This is the real story of the first Ford GT40 to claim Le Mans for America. The video features a comparison of "vital performance statistics" of the GT40 vs. that of other manufacturer entrants in multiple classes. It provides an up-close look at look at just what it took for Ford and Shelby to win the '66 Le Mans.
