Ginetta to launch new G57 at ASI
Ginetta will formally launch its LMP3-based G57 sportscar at next month's Autosport International show.
The Ginetta G57 is aimed at open-regulation classes with an eye on international expansion, and the car has been accepted for entry in the French VdeV series. It will be launched on the opening morning of the Jan. 14-17 show in Birmingham, England. The show opens to the public on Jan. 16-17.
"Myself and Ginetta are delighted to be launching the G57 at Autosport International this January," Ginetta chairman Lawrence Tomlinson said. "The show represents the ideal place to introduce our latest model to the public and celebrate the continued success of the Ginetta Motorsport ladder."
Created from the car that took Chris Hoy and Charlie Robertson to the European Le Mans Series LMP3 title, the G57 has generates up to 30 per cent more downforce through a reworked aerodynamic kit.
A 6.2-liter Chevrolet LS3 V8 replaces Nissan's LMP3 engine, paired with an upgraded Xtrac sequential gearbox.
