LM24: Nielsen adds Le Mans, ELMS to IMSA plans

Danish sports car driver Christina Nielsen will have a busy season ahead as she contests a full season in IMSA, the ELMS, and makes her debut at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Coming off a successful campaign in IMSA's GT Daytona class where she led the Drivers' championship heading into the final race, the 23-year-old will return to GTD with defending title winners Scuderia Corsa and, as she posted on Facebook Monday morning, will also join the Formula Racing Ferrari 458 GT team for an expanded European campaign.

"So happy to announce that we have joined Formula Racing for ELMS and most importantly Le Mans in 2016!!!!" Nielsen wrote. "So cool to be a part of writing racing history as the first Danish female driver to race at Le Mans."
