NASCAR: ISC CEO named Most Powerful Woman in Sports

Forbes magazine has named International Speedway Corporation (ISC) boss Lesa France Kennedy the Most Powerful Woman in Sports for 2015.

Kennedy, granddaughter of NASCAR founder Bill France and daughter of former series head Bill France Jr, oversees 13 tracks, manages more than 1000 staff, and sits on NASCAR's board of directors.

More significant, according to Forbes, is the example and inspiration that she has served as for other aspiring female executives; a factor that it says drove its selection panel to rank her at the top of its list.

Danica Patrick, who was the only other motorsport professional in the top 25, came in at No.20.
