NASCAR: Axalta reveals Earnhardt's new colors for 2016
With the retirement of Jeff Gordon, primary sponsor Axalta is switching its colors to Dale Earnhardt Jr. and the No. 88 member of the Hendrick Motorsports stable for 2016. The coatings company, which first announced the impending switch back in October, revealed the new colors for its new driver on Wednesday in Las Vegas during NASCAR Champions' Week.
Axalta has also expanded its number of races as a primary sponsor from 10 to 13, while extending its deal with Hendrick to 2018. The 2015 season marked the 23rd year of partnership between Axalta and Hendrick.
