IMSA: Action Express Corvette DP leads Petit Le Mans FP4
Drivers and teams were met by mostly dry conditions to start Friday morning's final practice session ahead of this afternoon's qualifying session for Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta. A light drizzle arrived for the middle portion of the 60-minute outing, but Action Express Racing's Joao Barbosa was able to set the best lap of 1m23.232s in his Corvette DP before times slowed. The track was far from perfect, which explains why Chip Ganassi Racing's Scott Dixon was second in his Ford EcoBoost DP (1:23.626) and Nick Tandy was third overall in his Porsche North America 911 RSR GT Le Mans entry (1:24.015).
RSR Racing's Jack Hawksworth was fifth overall – the fastest in PC (1:24.198), and Kuno Wittmer topped GT Daytona in his TRG-AMR Aston Martin V12 Vantage (1:28.376).
