Freiberg started the race from seventh position and was running eighth before pitting. Hindman got in the car with 1.5 hours remaining in the race and made it up to P4 with just 35 minutes to go. He was given a drive-through penalty for avoidable contact as he was chasing down the Camaros and Mustang. Track temperatures reached over 100 degrees and driving conditions inside the car were stifling. Hindman brought the #46 BMW M3 home in P7.#46 IHG Rewards Club/ Trim-Tex Drywall Products/ Fall-Line Motorsports BMW driver quotes:Trent Hindman: "I'm really proud of the Fall-Line Motorsports crew and the effort they put in all weekend long, working in the 100-degree heat. At the end of the day I accept full responsibility for the contact that led to our drive through penalty, but I absolutely was pushing as hard as possible to get to the front and sometimes contact will happen. The Trim-Tex, IHG Rewards Club, Top 1 Oil BMW M3 was more than capable of getting us a good result as always. Ultimately the race didn't go our way, but we'll focus forward to finish the year on a high at Road Atlanta."Ashley Freiberg: "It was a tough race for us, but I am proud of everyone at Fall-Line for pulling through to a 7th place finish! Not the result we were looking for, but I am ready to bounce back at Road Atlanta in a couple of weeks." Michael Harvey, Fall-Line Motorsports Team Manager: "It was definitely a character-building day for the Fall-Line/ IHG Rewards Club/ Trim-Tex BMW. Once again we had a strong race car in which to tackle the grueling conditions. With temperatures touching 100 degrees we had great pace and efficient pit stops but unfortunately a drive through penalty for an on-track incident put pay to a podium run. Both Trent and Ashley drove great stints in trying conditions but COTA wasn't so kind to us this year. We very much look forward to Road Atlanta in two weeks and finishing the season off with a strong run. As always a big thank you goes out to our amazing partners IHG Rewards Club, Trim-Tex and BMW."Fall-Line Motorsports is a premier builder and fabricator of race cars for all levels of competition.
