Ethan Low COTA Pre-Race Report-74346
Ethan Low and Visit St Petersburg/Clearwater are not just racing together, they are also making a profound difference in the lives of children in this world through their professional auto racing platform. 19 year old Clearwater, Florida native Ethan Low, a professional race car driver of the #31 Bodymotion Porsche Cayman in the Continental Tire Sportscar Series, tells the story.
“At our races this season, we have been distributing complimentary biodegradable Reef Safe Suncare SPF30 sun care to IMSA Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge fans on behalf of my awesome partner, Visit St. Pete/Clearwater (VSPC). Following our race at Watkins Glen International, VSPC got a call from a children's hospital in upstate New York.
They had juvenile diabetes patients attend the race and they happened upon our give away table, where they received free samples of Reef Safe Sun Care. The hospital has had issues with patients not being able to use any type of regular, commercial sun care product and as a result, it had limited patients' ability to enjoy outdoor activities. They tried Reef Safe and discovered it worked without complications or issues! They contacted VSPC and informed them they had found Reef Safe through Ethan Low Racing and wanted to know how they could get more Reef Safe Sun Care for the children. VSPC is generously supplying more Reef Safe for their summer activities.”
“Two weeks later,” Low continued, “the same call and story came in to VSPC, following our Toronto races at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park. The call this time came from the Charles H. Best Diabetes Centre for children with Type 1 Diabetes, in the Durham Region of Ontario. Inspired by Ethan Low Racing, VSPC provided generous supplies of Reef Safe for the Diabetes Centre's annual fund-raiser “Walk for the Best” on September 13th in Toronto.”
Now, with the support of Ethan Low Racing, VSPC will be proactively taking these stories to All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida to benefit children at Low’s local children’s hospital.
“VSPC and I want to thank IMSA for giving us a platform through the Continental Tire Sportscar Challenge Series to not only auto race professionally, but to give us a venue throughout the race week to promote our partners and be able to have an impact on making lives better for others. How #AmpTheAwesome! is that?!!”
Low and his Bodymotion Racing team will have free sun screen available at their paddock all week and on the Fan Walk at pit road on race day at the final two races of the season beginning with the upcoming race this week at COTA in Austin, Texas.
