BES: DTM's Molina to make Audi GT3 debut
Audi DTM driver Miguel Molina will race one of the German manufacturer's R8 GT3 cars for the first time in this weekend's Blancpain Endurance Series finale at the Nurburgring.
The 26-year-old will drive an R8 LMS ultra entered by the French Sainteloc squad and will share the car with Gregory Guilvert and Christopher Mies. He follows Audi DTM squad members Edoardo Mortara and Adrien Tambay in driving Sainteloc's solo pro class car over the course of the BES this year.
"This will be a new challenge for me and I don't know what to expect," Molina told AUTOSPORT. "It's been a long time since I have driven an R8 [in testing], maybe two or three years. It's just something for one round, and in the future, we will see."
Molina took part in the Nurburgring 24 Hours in 2011, driving a front-wheel-drive Audi TT RS entered by the Raeder Motorsport team.
