Signed Rossi Yamaha up for auction
A Yamaha YZF-R1 signed by MotoGP legend Valentino Rossi has been put up for auction to raise money for charity.
The 2015 road-going model, painted in the livery of the current Yamaha factory MotoGP squad, has been handed over for auction by the Japanese manufacturer. Rossi has signed the bike on its front fairing, and it also carries his iconic #46.

Proceeds from the auction will go to Italian charity La Gotita Onlus, which aims to support the educational, social and economic development of children in need.
A statement from CharityStars, which is hosting the auction, said: "No auction of this type has ever been offered before, making this a truly once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
"With charitable projects being very close to the hearts of both Rossi and Yamaha, this is the perfect opportunity to own a piece of two-wheeled history, benefitting children in desperate need of help. The generosity of Rossi and Yamaha has been hugely appreciated in making this bike available."
The auction closes on Friday, Sept. 18.
