IMSA will have a solid presence at the upcoming Rennsport Reunion V – the world’s largest gathering of Porsche racecars, renowned drivers, and Porsche collector cars. Rennsport Reunion V will return to Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca on Sept. 25-27.

The Porsche North America team that competes in the TUDOR Championship GT Le Mans (GTLM) class will have three of its drivers in attendance, Earl Bamber, Joerg Bergmeister and Nick Tandy, in addition to Team Falken Tire’s Wolf Henzler and Bryan Sellers. Porsche North America will also bring either the No. 911 or No. 912 Porsche 911 RSRs at the event, depending on how the cars fare in the upcoming TUDOR Championship race at Circuit of The Americas on Sept. 19.

IMSA will also be represented by the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge USA by Yokohama, which will hold a pair of 45-minute races during the weekend.

Rennsport Reunion V brings together an extraordinary gathering of significant Porsche vintage and current racecars, as well as the motorsports figures who have designed, engineered, and driven them to victory in the world’s most famous sports car races.

After staging the first three Rennsport Reunion events on the East Coast, at Connecticut's Lime Rock Park and Daytona International Speedway, Rennsport Reunion IV moved west in 2011 to Laguna Seca, offering a vast array of West Coast car aficionados and Porsche enthusiasts a the opportunity to drive and/or trailer their Porsche vehicles to the event.

The three-day program of on-track competition will evoke history, giving attendees the opportunity to see and hear classic Porsche competition cars in full song, at near-racing speeds, on a fabled racecourse. Visitors will also be able to examine these fabled racecars up close and personal, mingle with drivers and other enthusiasts, and drink in the atmosphere of Porsche enthusiasm.

The racecars at speed will be complemented by a full European-style Porsche Concours d’Elegance, open to invited race participants, as well as special activities celebrating each of the six decades of legendary Porsche racecars. Hundreds of Porsche owners will also display their own significant Porsche vehicles, drawn from all eras of Porsche production.
