July 25, 2015 (Lakeville, Conn.) – A promising run for the no. 63 Scuderia Corsa Ferrari 458 Italia at the Northeast Grand Prix at Lime Rock Park was slowed due to contact in the race’s second hour.

While running in sixth position, the Ferrari, which was being driven at the time by Townsend Bell, was hit by another car during a race restart. The damage caused by the contact forced the Ferrari to the pits for several laps for repairs, knocking it out of contention in the GT-Daytona class. Bell would finish the race in ninth position.Ferrari remains in second position in the IMSA United SportsCar Championship GT-Daytona manufacturer’s standings, while Bell and Bill Sweedler have closed the gap to the championship leader and are now ten points behind the GT-D lead with three races remaining. The Northeast Grand Prix will be broadcast on Sunday, July 26 at 5:00 PM ET on FOX Sports 1. The next round of the TUDOR Championship will be at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin on July 7-9.
