Poll results: IMSA prototype evolution

Here are the results to our latest poll question: What’s the ideal evolution of IMSA's top level sports car class?

ANSWERS:

1. I want ALMS and WEC-style P1 cars to be allowed again. Top level sports car racing should always be about the fastest cars. (55.3%)2. The 2017 P2-based chassis, body identity and engine format is the right direction for the future.  (15.5%)3. Who really cares about prototypes outside of Le Mans? GT cars are where the future lies and they are what the manufacturers and fans really care about. (13.5%)4. The Daytona Prototypes are fast, reliable and plentiful so keeping them a competitive part of the mix along with the new P2-based chassis makes sense.  (11.5%)5. I want Daytona Prototypes as the only Prototype class because I like the sound of V8s and the door-banging style of racing seen in the Grand-Am era. (4.2%)Our new poll is active in the right-hand column: What’s the best way for the Verizon IndyCar Series to attract more audience while also restoring its stature and appeal to commercial partners?Vote now to make your opinion count!
