SVRA: Alfas at The Glen, still making history

Three Alfa GTAs a part of the 50-car, Alfas at The Glen celebration, raced together 45 years ago. Together they achieved nine victories during the 1970 series and delivered the Trans-Am Championship to Alfa Romeo.

This is the first time in 45 years that the three cars will race together.

#3 - 1969 GTA was driven to three wins in 1970 by Horst Kwech. The car is currently owned by Dr. Bernardo Martinez of Toledo, OH.

#25 - 1965 GTA was driven to three wins in 1970 by Bert Everett and one win by Gus Andrey. The car is now owned by Sam Cummings of Grand Rapids, MI.

#93 1965 GTA was driven to two wins in 1970 by Lee Midgley. The car is now owned by Dave LeBrun of Rochester, New York.

The #25 car is the winningest Alfa Romeo from the golden era of the Trans-Am. The car ran in the Trans-Am series from 1966-1972, collecting 6 wins and 14 podiums in all.

All three cars were restored by Roman Tucker in his shop in Attica, Mich.
