The new ND 2016 MX-5 Cup car that will form the basis of not only the Battery Tender Mazda MX-5 Cup Presented by BFGoodrich Tires but also the Mazda Global MX-5 Cup, will be the first production-based car sold ready to race by Mazda. That value comes not only from the final price, which is being nailed down and will be announced within a couple of weeks, but also the fact that the car requires little further investment to get on track. There is also the matter of the prize for winning the Global MX-5 Cup Shootout - a test in a Mazda SKYACTIV Prototype, a rather large reward for winning a single race.
