MotoGP: Bradl to undergo surgery on scaphoid
Forward Racing MotoGP rider Stefan Bradl requires surgery on a fractured right scaphoid following a crash in Saturday's Dutch TT at Assen. The German is undergoing the operation in Augsburg on Monday, with hand specialist Dr Stefan Krischak leading the surgery on the small bone in the wrist.
Bradl has had a tough season on Forward's Yamaha so far, having joined the team for 2015 after losing his LCR Honda seat to Cal Crutchlow. He scored his highest finish of the year so far with eighth at Barcelona earlier this month, and followed it up with a season-best 13th on the grid at Assen, but had a solo crash five laps into the race.
The next MotoGP round is the German Grand Prix at the Sachsenring in two weeks.
